The dog’s masculinity or femininity are strongly marked, and every animal gives a definite impression of its sex. The males are usually bigger and more powerful than the females. The dogs have a stable character and are easily rained. The breed has a distinct personality marked by direct and fearless, but not hostile, expression, self-confidence and a certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. As far as the family members are concerned, the dog treats them nice and will always protect them. Smaller pets may fall a prey to these large dogs, but some dogs can be trusted with cats, rabbits and other animals.
